The commercial real estate industry honored excellence in property management Thursday night at BOMA's The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) event. The TOBY mission is to recognize excellence in building management, operational efficiency, tenant retention, emergency planning and community impact. Entrants must meet strict guidelines in all categories.
Twenty-nine buildings in 10 categories were judged in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Midgard Management won in the Medical, Corporate, and Earth Awards categories.
Medical Office Building - Twin Lakes Plaza
Twin Lakes Medical Plaza is a two-story medical office building located Boca Raton. The ownership consists of dentists, doctors, rehabilitation specialists, a kidney dialysis center and pediatric care specialists. The building was featured in a recent Case Study, which details how Midgard Management has projected an annual $30,000 energy savings due to the sustainability program that was implemented.
Corporate Facility - US Border Patrol
Pembroke Plaza is a one-story office complex that was built specifically for use by a Federal Government Agency. This building is in use 24/7 and also accommodates the Agency's vehicle fleet. Judges commented on the green efforts that were implemented along with superior management style.
Earth Award - 1475 Crown Center
1475 Crown Center was awarded the distinct honor of BOMA Ft. Lauderdale/Palm Beaches' inaugural Earth Award, which distinguishes excellence in commercial building management using environmentally friendly practices while meeting the highest standards of operation.
Midgard Management would like to recognize and congratulate our property management team: Lynn-Ann Ierna, Dick Wyzanski and Louis Jaffe, for their continued dedication to meeting the highest level of standards.
