Ft. Lauderdale, FL - February 24th, 2009 - On March 19th, 2009, Midgard Management, the property management arm of Midgard Group, will host an open house at Crown Center, located at 1401 W. Cypress Creek Road in celebration of Midgard's commitment to the environment and our community. ArtServe Broward and the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra have been invited to showcase local artists. Funds generated by raffling a bicycle will be donated to ARC Broward, a not-for-profit organization that employs disabled individuals to re-cycle electronics.
The open house marks the completion of Midgard Group's renovation of its 1401 building at Crown Center using environmentally friendly building practices. Crown Center was constructed in the early 1980s, when environmental impact was not the concern that it is today; redesigning it to meet today's green standards is an exceptional achievement.
The 1401 building will now join the rest of Crown Center as one of Midgard Management's environmentally friendly managed properties. Midgard Management has applied for LEED Silver Certification, the second highest certification, issued by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The open house will feature a tour of Crown Center buildings and highlight green initiatives that resulted in $50,000 annual savings in costs.
