2013 marks Midgard Management's Silver Anniversary.
It's Midgard Management's CEO and Director Jim Goldstein's true love of "really messy, nasty deals". and good partnerships that have contributed to Midgard's success.
"The best deal with the wrong partner is far worse than the worst deal with the best partner," said Jim. "Great partners will always bring you more deals." And Jim's philosophy has paid off - he's worked with the same partners for 30 years.
Longevity is a concept that Jim embraces, in his professional and personal lives. "Sustainability is about making things last," said Jim. Midgard's initial interested in LEED was primarily marketing and tenant driven, but his perspective quickly changed "It's about long-term, balance, equilibrium."
As Midgard closes in on 25 years of success, its team also celebrates its commitment to Mother Nature.
1451 Crown Center was recently awarded LEED Silver Certification, making Crown Center the only office campus in the State of Florida to boast three LEED Certified Buildings.
"From the strict standards, followed by green cleaning, to the conversion of our landscaping on over 16 acres, to a Florida naturescape, we have embraced the sustainability movement and implement this philosophy into our daily management guidelines and throughout our managed portfolio," said Lynn-Ann Ierna, Director of Property Management.
Also this past year, Midgard Management was awarded two TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year Award) for the 2012-2013 Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach BOMA (Building Owners and Management Association). Midgard Mangement also received in 2011 the Small Business Award from the Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and has been selected this year by the Ft. Lauderdale Executive Airport as the recipient of their Annual ACE Award.
